Obituary

Adeline Meta Kamrath, age 88, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Dec. 21, 2018.  She was born Apr. 4, 1930 to the late Clarence and Mabel (Leiser) Zins.  Adeline graduated from Sauk City High School; class of 1948.  She was united in marriage to Glen E. Kamrath on Nov. 4, 1951; he preceded her in death on Feb. 13, 2015.  Together they farmed in Skunk Valley for almost 65 years.  Aside from farming with her husband, Adeline formerly worked at Winger's Bakery and later at Piggly Wiggly.  Adeline was most happy at home cooking for her family, hired men and friends.  Her door was always open and all were welcome at her table.  She enjoyed many years as a member of the Witwen Homemakers and gardening at home.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Gary) Liegel of Prairie du Sac; daughter in-law, Jeanie Kamrath; 3 grandchildren, Jaime Baker-whom, Adeline was very close with and her children, Bailey, Kaleb, and Kailey Baker, Danny Kamrath and his children, Aden, Tessa, and Kiaya, and Jody (Mike) Rothe and their children, Mason and Adriana Rothe; sister in-law, Mary Zins; other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Philip; grandson, Daren Kamrath; great grandson, Ashton Kamrath; grandson in-law, Nate Baker; and brother, Verlyn Zins.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Dec. 27, 2018 at Hooverson Funeral Home, 251 Water St., Sauk City.  A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of service.  Burial will follow in the Sauk Prairie Cemetery.
