Alex Kohlman Gullickson, age 19, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2009, due to a traffic accident. He was born on July 17, 1989 in Lima, Peru. At the age of 15 months he was adopted and his parents brought him back to his loving families in Wisconsin. Alex was a blessing to his family and was dearly loved for every minute of his short 19 years. He was a student at MATC and was just beginning to find his way. His true passions were, skateboarding, his girlfriend Megan, hanging out with his friends and family and his dog Tres. He will be dearly missed by his parents, Dale and Vicki; his sister, Kara; his grandfather, Cliff Kohlman; and his many loving aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as his birth mother, Rosario Huamani Bazan, and birth family in Peru. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Genny Kohlman and Lillian and Grant Gullickson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. NORBERT'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, Roxbury, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2009 with Father Miguel Galvez officiating. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Friends may call at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2009 and also from 10:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Sauk Prairie Foundation for Academic Excellence.
