Alice P. Compton, age 69, our loving mother, went home to her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 18, 2013. She was born September 1, 1944 in Alton, IL, but resided in Sauk City for many years. She enjoyed attending Bible Baptist Church in Reedsburg, reading, old movies, her flower gardens, cooking, thrift shopping, and spending time with her family.


She leaves behind three daughters, Allison (Robert) Stephenson of Reedsburg, LaDonna Nelson (Bruce Bierman) of Sauk City, and Deana (Wayne) Holmes of Amherst; five grandchildren, Alicia, Shane, Cody, Wade, and Connor; three great-grandchildren, Jerika, Isabel, and Diesel; a sister, Ursula Clark of Reedsburg; two brothers, Earl (Marilyn) Williams, Jr. of Westfield and James (Lisa) Ray of Madison; an aunt, Betty Downing of Bragg City, MO; a great-niece; many nephews and great-nephews.


A memorial service will be held at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, 251 Water St., Sauk City, at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 22, 2013. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, one hour prior to the service.


We will love and miss you everyday until we can all be together again.
