Alice M. Linley, age 92, died on Friday, February 6, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. She was born in Spring Green on July 17, 1916, the daughter of the late John and Ella (Ochsner) Luther. She was united in marriage to Howard Linley on December 21, 1933. The couple farmed in the Dover area for many years, retiring to Mazomanie in 1981. She is survived by a son, Robert H. (Virginia) Linley of Walnut, IL; a daughter, Janice (John) Davis of Cuba City; three grandchildren, Michael (Stacey) Linley, Mark (Shari) Linley, and Holly (Jamie) Droessler; eight great-grandchildren, Jeremy (Jessie), Jonathan (April), Jacqualine Ann, Jennifer, Jessica, Jeffrey and Jordan Linley; and Faith Rose Droessler; a brother, Vernon Luther of Neponset, IL; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Luther. Funeral services will be held at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Highway 14 West, Mazomanie, at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 with Pastor Leslie Shultz officiating. Burial will follow in the Arena Cemetery. Friends may call at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2009.
