Alice Mack, born August 9, 1913 in Roxbury to William and Alma (Pulvermacher) Breunig, died peacefully on Friday, December 9, 2011 at Maplewood Nursing Home.

Alice married William Mack, also of Roxbury, on May 23, 1933 . Together they farmed in Roxbury, raised a family of six children, have seventeen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.


Survivors include three daughters; Gladys (Virgil) Theis of Cross Plains,
Lou Ann (Robert) Bonjour of Sauk City and
Elizabeth (Curtis) Meffert of Madison,
seventeen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren,
a daughter-in-law; Marlene Mack,
a son-in-law; William Butterfield,
two sisters-in-law; Katie Breunig and Tillie Breunig, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William, infant son, Thomas, a son Kenneth, a daughter, Dorothy Butterfield, brothers; Arthur (Irene) Breunig, Oscar Breunig, Paul Breunig, Werner (Margaret) Breunig and sisters; Bernice (Clarence) Breunig and Blanche (Herman) Mack.


Alice enjoyed volunteering, playing cards, making rosaries, travelling and making other people laugh. She was blessed with 98 years of life, loving and being loved by her husband, family and friends and doubly blessed with her beautiful faith and life-long memberships and relationships with her fellow caring and supportive church members at St. Norbert's Catholic Church in Roxbury.


A Mass of Celebration will be held at St. Norbert's Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m on Wednesday, December 14. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 13 at Hooverson Funeral Home, Sauk City.
