Alton J. Keck, 76, Lake Mills, died on Thursday, May 12, 2011, at home.
He was born on October 27, 1928, the son of the late Alton R. and Mabel (Lohr) Keck.
Alton had been a resident of Lake Mills for the past 15 years, moving from Watertown where he had resided for over 20 years.
He had farmed for many years in the Watertown area, also was an owner operator in trucking.
Alton was also an operator/engineer and member of Local 139.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Alton was hard working and fast living.
Survivors include five sons, John (Bobbi) of Watertown, Russell "Jim" of Richland Center, Jeffrey (Jodi) of Dousman, Jerry (Debbie) of Clyman, Shane of Beaver Dam; one daughter, Karen Keck of Waterloo; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one sister, Russlyn Hasselwander of Madison; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret and grandson, Joshua.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 23, 2011, at 1:30 p.m. at the Hooverson Funeral Home in Sauk City.
Friends may call from 12 noon on Monday at the funeral home until the time of service.
Burial will be in the Prairie du Sac Cemetery.
