Obituary

Alvin Keith Moles, age 83, passed away peacefully June 7, 2018, at Maplewood Nursing Home in Sauk City, WI after a struggle with Parkinson's disease.  He was born in Bedford Co. Virginia on Dec. 10, 1934, to the late George Wilson and Elizabeth Lillian (Motley) Moles.  Following High School Alvin served in the United State Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Japan as a helicopter mechanic.  Alvin worked for the V.A. Medical Center in Salem, VA for 30 years retiring in 1997.  He was united in marriage to Gloria (Hanusa) Kruse-Mueller in Mesa, AZ on March 13, 1999.  In his retirement he enjoyed driving cars for Ballweg's, traveling, doing anything mechanical around the home, and food, especially the deserts.  He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Prairie du Sac.

Alvin is survived by his wife, Gloria; Gloria's children, James (Betty) Kruse, Joel (Jackie) Kruse, Jerry (Dawn) Kruse, Jerome (Nancy) Kruse; 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Bernard Moles of Goodville, VA, George Walker Moles of Vinton, VA, 3 sisters, Ruby Franklin of Vinton, VA, Elery Shrewsbury and Rachel Saunders both of Moneta, VA.  Alvin is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Alvin was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Moles; siblings, Aurelia Tate, Dorothy McManaway, Mary Williams, Aubrey Moles, and Edward Moles.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at St. John's Lutheran Church,  100 Oak Street,Prairie du Sac, WI with Pastor Sally Williams officiating.
