Amanda Lynn Accola, age 32, passed away surrounded by her family on Wed. Apr. 27, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison after a 2 year battle with colon cancer. She was born at Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital Mar. 3, 1984 to Robert and LeAnn (Boettcher) Accola. Amanda graduated Sauk Prairie High School; class of 2003. She worked at the Eagle Inn restaurant in Prairie du Sac for the last 17 years. Amanda enjoyed reading, music, volunteering at the S.P. High School, scary movies, her glass fused necklace collection, 5k runs, and walking. She was a member of the Active Strivers 4H and was proud to have showed her family's Brown Swiss cattle at the Wisconsin State Fair. Amanda was a frequent blood donor and would be proud to know that part of her lives on through her organ donation after her death.
She is survived by her parents, Robert and LeAnn; siblings, Ryan (Beth) Accola, Alison (Chris) Zirzow, Erica (Gabe Verthein) Accola; niece, Jacqueline; nephews, Austin, Cooper, Tucker, and Carson; paternal grandparents, Harvey and Marge Accola; maternal grandmother, Patricia Boettcher. She is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Leon Boettcher and a cousin, Roxi Accola.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday, May 6, 2016 at Hooverson Funeral Home, 251 Water St., Sauk City.
Amanda's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff at St. Mary's, Dr. James Heun her Oncologist, Madonna Robertson R.N. her infusionist, and her sister and roommate Erica.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Amanda's name.
