Andrew M. Brunner, age 87, passed away on Friday October 10, 2008 at Heartland Country Village in Black Earth. He was born in Dodgeville on June 4, 1921. Andrew married Lucille Statz on September 14, 1943. He was a proud veteran of World War II, having served with the United States Army. Andrew was member of the Black Earth American Legion Post 313 and St. Barnabas Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lucille; eleven children, Thomas (Marlene) of Martinsville, Robert (Kathy Manteufel) of Sauk City, Ronald (Donna) of Cross Plains, Steve (Barbara) of Cross Plains, Larry (Jane) of Black Earth, Susan (Paul) Brunner of Cross Plains, Jane (Dave) Burnheimer of Mount Horeb, Lois (Phil) Reynolds of Madison, Bill (Pam) of Black Earth, Paul (Judy) of Black Earth, and Dennis (Sheri) of Black Earth; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ritamarie Plemons and Joan (Dick) Friend; sisters-in-law, Arlene and Thelma Brunner and Milly Osborne; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Anna Brunner; 3 brothers, Fred, Ael and Roger Brunner; 3 sisters, Sister Luka Brunner, Mary Plemmons and Celine Statz; brothers-in-law, Hilary Statz and Jack Plemons; grandson, Bobby Brunner; and great-grandson, Brayden Brunner. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at 11:30 am at St. Barnabas Catholic Church in Mazomanie, with Fr. John DelPriore officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Hooverson Funeral Home, Highway 14 West, Mazomanie, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 13, 2008.
