Andrew "Andy" Ewald Ballweg, age 78, passed away at home on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 after a 17 month battle with lung cancer. He was born November 29, 1930 in Roxbury to the late Florian and Emma (Breunig) Ballweg. Andy was united in marriage to Lois Kelter on July 4, 1952 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Sauk City. He farmed for over 57 years and also owned and operated a recycling business. Andy enjoyed visiting with family and friends, playing cards, doing puzzles, and visiting casinos.

4 sisters, Evelyn Acker, Mary Ann (Alfred) Karls, Seraphine (LeRoy) Schlimgen, and Leona Fass

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Angeline Hensen.

A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at 10:30 am at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, Mazomanie. A luncheon and time of fellowship will follow the mass.
