Anna Marie Breunig, age 74, passed away on Thur. June 30, 2016 at Maplewood Nursing Home after a long illness. She was born Mar. 9, 1942 to the late Conrad and Veronica (Eckstein) Breunig. She graduated Sauk City High School; class of 1961. Anna worked for Wisconsin Dept. of Transportation for 43 years; retiring in 2004. She enjoyed her bowling league, gardening, spending time with her family, nephews and her niece. Anna was a member of St. Norbert's Catholic Church.
She is survived by her siblings, Rosemary (Bruce) Elmer of Perry, Mo., Donald (Susan) Breunig of Sauk City, Ralph (Marcella) Breunig of Roxbury, and Harold Breunig of Middleton; 9 nephews, Bernard (Kathy) Elmer, Kenny(Wendy) Elmer, David (Ruth)Elmer, Scott Breunig, Randy Breunig, Rod Breunig, Kelly Breunig, Andy (Season) Breunig, and Jerry (Luci) Breunig; special niece, Sheila (Dana) Cook; further survived by other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a nephew, Eugene Breunig.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Wed. July 6, 2016 at St. Norbert's Catholic Church, Roxbury with Fr. John Blewett officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 9:00 am until 10:45 am at Hooverson Funeral Home, Sauk City.
