Anna E. Zick, age 95, died on Monday, February 11, 2013. She was born on May 22, 1917, the daughter of the late August and Clara (Wilhelm) Diske. She was united in marriage to Merton Zick on August 16, 1936. The couple farmed and raised their family in the town of Prairie du Sac.


She is survived by a son, Darwin (Mary) Zick of Prairie du Sac; a son-in-law, Valerius Schultz of Herman, MO; two daughters-in-law, Carol of Colgate and Diana of Baraboo; two sisters, Evelyn (George) Marks of Pennsylvania and Florence Montague of New Berlin; two sisters-in-law, Norma Neumaier of Sauk City and Ione Diske of North Freedom; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Gene and Duane; and a daughter, Harolyn.


A funeral service will be held at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City, at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 14, 2013 with Pastor Bill Kapp officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
