Arlyne Ethel Clement, age 91, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2010 at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie. She was born in Madison, on February 9, 1919, the eldest of four children to Edward and Regina (Hyland) Usher. Arlyne was an interior designer for Gimbel's Department Store in Madison. She was a wonderful seamstress and an excellent water color artist. In 1941 she married William Clement from Spring Green. He preceded her in death in 2005. They were members of Bethel Lutheran Church for more than fifty years.
They both loved to play golf and were members of Blackhawk Country Club.
She is survived by a daughter, Sharron Johnson of Scottsdale, AZ; a son, James (Bette) Clement of Hastings, MN; a daughter-in-law, Diane Clement of Roxbury; 6 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a son William Clement Jr.; and her siblings.
Bill Jr. and Diane were dedicated care givers for Bill Sr. and Arlyne for the past ten years. The Family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and employee's of Maplewood Nursing Home in Sauk City. A family gathering is planned for a future date.
