Audrey M. Markee, age 78, passed away peacefully at her home on Sun. Apr. 2, 2017. She was born in the Honey Creek Township on July 21, 1938 to the late Arthur and Cecilia (Eckstein) Leidig. Audrey graduated from Prairie High School in 1957. Audrey was united in marriage to Robert Markee on June 9, 1960; he preceded her in death Feb. 13, 2013. She was a well-known person and her wonderful social talent served her well.

Audrey is survived by her sisters, Eunice Sopher, Mary Ann Hartmann, and Lois (Paul) Emhoff; two sisters in-law, Karen Leidig and Sally Carpenter; many nieces, nephews other relatives and close friends, Tammy Moungey and family, Betty Kasiska, Sheila (Stephen) Dittberner and family.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Leidig; two brother in-laws, Gordon Hartman and Frank Carpenter and in-laws, George and Dorothy Markee.

A Mass of Catholic Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Fri. Apr. 7, 2017 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 115 Madison St., Sauk City. Interment will follow in the St. Aloysius Cemetery. A visitation will be held Thur. Apr. 6, 2017 at Hooverson Funeral Home, 251 Water St., Sauk City, WI from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M..
