Barbara Lynn Hoffman, age 50, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 21st at Agrace Hospice Care in Madison after an earnest 10 year battle with cancer. She was born in Madison, Feb. 7, 1966 to the late Richard and Jeanne (Handford) Knitter. Barbara was a graduate of Mt. Horeb High School, class of 1984. Following high school she attended both cosmetology school and the Madison Area Technical College.
Barbara is survived by her son, Hayden (Stephanie) Arneson of Barneveld, her daughter, Callysta Hoffman of Sauk City, and her sister, Kathleen (Mark) Miller and their children, Kaley and Darby, of Brandenburg, KY. Barbara was further survived by a multitude of loving relatives and close friends.
Barbara was passionate about sharing health with everyone she loved. She was the founder of the HopeWell Healing Center in Madison, where she brought together practitioners of varied modalities to treat and support health and wellness. Barbara's favorite pastime was being with family and friends; she also loved shopping, romantic comedies, Christmas, and bird watching.
Barbara was a member of the Sauk Prairie Evangelical Free Church of Sauk Prairie, 1375 Lincoln Ave., Prairie du Sac. A visitation will be held there on Friday, March 4th, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. A Celebration of Her Life will be held at the same location at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 5th. A short visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
