Barbara Ann Stoffels

Barbara Ann Stoffels, 79, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on July 14, 2026. Barbara was born on May 13, 1947, at Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital to Arthur and Myrtle (Wordell) Voelker.

Barbara enjoyed life's simple pleasures. She loved working on jigsaw puzzles, shopping, going out to lunch with her lady friends, and most of all, spending time with her family. She cherished every opportunity to be with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her endless joy. During her illness, her beloved four-legged grandpup, Buster, was a constant source of comfort and faithfully remained by her side.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Myrtle Voelker, as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda and son-in-law, John Meier; her grandchildren, Matthew (Jessica) Meier, and their children, Donavyn, Gabryella, Mackenzye, and Madyson; Alicia (Cory) Sokol, and their children, Bentley and Beckett; and Jeremy (Jodie) Meier, and their children, Jackson and Jaycee. She is also survived by her brother, Ronald (Viola) Voelker; her sister, Sandy (Marlin) Vernig; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and her special friend since childhood, Linda Frey.

In accordance with Barbara's wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service. Barbara will be remembered for the love she shared with her family, the friendships she treasured, and the quiet joy she found in everyday moments. Her memory will be carried in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Barbara’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of UW Oncology and Agrace Hospice for the compassionate care and kindness they provided to her and her loved one throughout her illness.
