Benjamin J. Jones, age 75, died on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. He was born in Arena on June 18, 1938, the son of the late Ben and Ruth (Cassity) Jones. He was a veteran, having served in the US Air Force. Benjamin was employed by Giddings and Lewis Foundrys and the Milwaukee Street Post Office in Madison.


He is survived by four siblings, Sophia Bicoy, Eileen Clement, Milward Jones and Marlyce Culver; 5 children, Steve Maybee, Dan Jones, Sherri Jones, Micheal Jones and Jennifer Dubasik; 18 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, David; a grandson, Wesley Maybee; and a daughter, Lauri Ann.


A visitation will be held at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, 702 Emily Rd., Mazomanie, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2014. Burial, with military rites, will follow in the Arena Cemetery.
