Bernadine "Corky" Collett McFarlane, age 89, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017. She was born in Bear Creek Township, Sauk County, Wisconsin on February 21, 1927, the daughter of the late Adolph and Genevieve (McCarville) Roessler. She was united in marriage to Richard Mabbott on October 10, 1950. He preceded her in death on August 31, 1990. She then married Jim McFarlane on June 21, 2003 at St. Aloysius, Sauk City. He preceded her in death on February 3, 2008. Corky was employed by McFarlane's Mfg. for 52 years.


She is survived by her sisters, Maxine Hambrecht and Loretta Dooley; sisters in law, Verda McFarlane, Ruby McFarlane; Jim Mcfarlane's children, Mary (Mike) Springer, William, Stanley (Cindi), Sue (Darrell) Pulsfus; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.


She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, sisters and brothers in law, Mary (John) Flauger, Joan (Rodney) Premo, Mercedes (Hilary) Mack, Donna Faye (Sylvester) Statz, Polly (Russ) Mallon, Delbert Hambrecht and Peter Dooley, Helen (Grant) Peterson, George (Eileen) Mabbott, Orville (Toni) Mabbott, Barbara (John) Keller.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Sauk City, WI, with Father John Blewett officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 9:00 a.m until 11:15 a.m at Hooverson Funeral Home, Sauk City.

Bernadine's family wishes to extend a special Thank You to the staff of The Pines, for their compassionate care that was provided to Bernadine. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Aloysius school endowment fund.
