Bernetta (nee Breunig) Kelter Reuter, age 90, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2011 at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie. She was born in Roxbury on June 28, 1920, the daughter of the late George and Katherine (Frey) Breunig. Bernetta was married to Alfred Kelter from 1939 until 1955 when he passed away. She married Joseph Reuter in 1959 and he preceded her in death in 1992. Bernetta loved to cook, crochet, and have family get-togethers. She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church.
She is survived by two sons, James (Sharon) Kelter of Mazomanie and Alan (Faith) Kelter of Madison; three grandchildren, Lori (Eric) Zenker of Maumee, OH, Patrick (Sheena) Kelter of Richmond, VA and Sara Kelter of Monroe; two great-grandchildren, twins Anna and Ashley Zenker and another one on the way; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Kelter and Marguerite Kelter, both of Sauk City; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. ALOYSIUS CATHOLIC CHURCH, Sauk City, at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 with Father Jared Hood officiating. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Friends may call at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday.
