IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bethel F.
Longo
August 2, 2022
Bethel Fay Longo, age 84, of Prairie Du Sac, passed away on August 2, 2022, at her home. Bethel was born on December 8, 1937 in Lodi Wisconsin to her late parents, Earl J. and Marjorie L. (Smith) Pullen. On March 30,1957, she married her late husband, Rosario Longo of Rhode Island, at Truax Field Madison, and supported him through his 22 years in the U.S.A.F, at times living abroad.
When Bethel returned to the States, she was the manager of May Hospitality Services, where she met several life-long friends. She also spent 10 years volunteering for Boy Scout Troop 173 and Troop 373 of Sauk Prairie. Bethel devoted much of her time to her children, nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.
Bethel loved to go on adventures with her family, she even broke every rule in the hand book at Custer State Park, just to make sure her grandchildren saw buffalo. Bethel loved to share her many camp-ground stories/memories with family, many of which you'd have to have been there to believe. Bethel enjoyed her weekends up in Adams County, watching the wildlife and making many friends at the local bars, running the pool table against people younger than her and dancing the night away.
May she be FOREVER YOUNG!
She is survived by: son, John Longo, daughter, Sandra (Johnny) Zeman; grandchildren, Michael Zeman (Tina Bloomenkranz), Shawn Zeman and Rachel Zeman, sister; Patricia E Boettcher, sister-in-law; Janet Longo and Frances Pascarella; nieces and nephews, Lisa (Brad) Hasheider, Helen Pullen, Barbra Ann Longo, Linda Pascarella, Elizabeth, Pam Boettcher, LeAnn (Robert) Accloa, Louise (James) Troxel, Erik (Lisa Becket) Pullen, Michael J (Kelly) Longo, Frances Pascarella, Jimmy Pascarella, Lowell (Chris) Boettcher, Paul (Alessandra Stella) Boettcher, Jody Marx, Romni Pullen. Christina Shaffer and Steven Shaffer, 43 grand-nieces/nephews, as well as many family and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Bethel was preceded in death by brother, Burl (Pete), sister-in-law Katie Pullen, brother-in-law Leon Boettcher, sister-in-law Josephine Ligouri, brother-in-law, Salvatore (Sammy) Longo, nephews, Karl and Mark Pullen, Felice Longo, Ron Longo, and nieces Lucy Boettcher and Amanda Accola.
We would like to thank Dr. Steven Johnson for Bethel's care over these many years, as well as Home Health Hospices, specifically her nurses Tina & Crystal, even though it was for a short time.
