Betty Jean Schuette, age 76, passed away Monday, Sept. 22, 2008 at St. Clare Hospice House, Baraboo. She was born in Baraboo on Jan. 26, 1932, the daughter of the late George and Ila (Kinnamon) Schonasky. She was married to Robert Schuette on March 29, 1952.
Betty was a loving and devoted farmers wife, mother and sister. She was a very giving and selfless person opening her heart and home to family, friends or anyone that needed a word of encouragement or shelter from a storm. With a passion for life and living, she had many friends of all ages. She served as a role model for so many who crossed her path. Some of her interests included bowling, baking, sewing, playing cards, collecting recipes and observing nature. She is survived by a son, Randy Schuette of Orlando FL; a brother, Robert Schonasky of Dane; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, on July 12, 2005; a brother, George Schonasky; and a sister, Evelyn Sinner. A memorial service will be held at Hooverson Funeral Home, Sauk City at 7:00 PM Friday, Sept. 26 with the Rev. Dennis Weis officiating. Interment will be later in the Sauk Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until time of service on Friday.
