IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bonnie Marie
Nelson
November 15, 1969 – April 16, 2023
Bonnie Marie Nelson, age 53, passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning, April 16, 2023 at University Hospital, Madison after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Nov. 15, 1969 to the late Herbert and Edna (Heidrich) Nelson. Bonnie was united in marriage to Alan Nolden on Oct. 15, 1994.
Bonnie was a woman of many roles, mother, grandma, little sister, aunt, cousin along with being a great friend to many. She had a love for adventure and never was afraid to take a chance; nothing like taking a lawnmower and wagon to the bar for a few drinks. Bonnie enjoyed her trips out west and looked forward to the visits with her island sister, Karen. She stood up for those she loved, especially Melanie and Oliver. Bonnie always expressed her love for her nieces and nephews, we love you Hank.
Her battle with stomach cancer was a long courageous battle; she did it with such grace. The battles she beat and exceeded, and all of the expectations; makes us proud of the fighter she was.
Bonnie is survived by her children, Melanie Ann, Jennifer (Scott) Jennings and Michael (Amy) Nolden; grandchildren, Tyler, Dylan, Michaela, Jacob, Marcus and Oliver; siblings, Pamela (Avery) Lonetree, Butch Nelson, Dave Nelson, Susan (Rich) Walter, Shelly (Charles) Crook, Jim Nelson, Rich (Jackie) Nelson, Mike (Cindy) Nelson, Terry Nelson; Bonnie is further survived by Virgil, Debbie, Rebecca and her Harley-Davidson family; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a nephew, Matthew Baars.
Bonnie's family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. LaConte and Dr. Varley from the UW Carbone Cancer Center, the Mazomanie and Black Earth EMS, Middleton Paramedics and Steve Labecki.
A Celebration of Bonnie's Life will be held starting at 12:00 noon until 4:00 pm on Saturday, April 29 at Grandma Mary's, Hwy 14, Arena. A visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday, Apr. 28 at Hooverson Funeral Home, 251 Water St., Sauk City.
