June 17, 1940 – November 4, 2025
Bonnie Ann Onesti, age 85, of Prairie du Sac passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Nov. 4, 2025. She was born in Beaver Dam on June 17, 1940, to the late Francis and Adeline (Sheperd) Dupuis.
Bonnie graduated from Beaver Dam High School and went on to U.W. Lacrosse and graduated from U.W. Stevens Point with a B.S. in Speech and Music. She soon earned her Teaching K-12 Certification from Edgewood and later earned a master's degree from U.W. Platteville. Bonnie taught for over 30 years at schools in Wilmot, Mazomanie, and Sauk Prairie. The majority of her career she spent at the Sauk Prairie Middle School where she taught until her retirement in 1999.
Bonnie's number one love was her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a member of the Sauk Prairie Graceway Church where she enjoyed both attending and teaching Bible Studies. For many years she taught Precept Bible Studies, and she was involved with Bible Study Fellowship. Bonnie loved Girl Scouts and was a member until she graduated from High School. She then became a Girl Scout leader for many years while her children were young. She loved music and was involved in the Beaver Dam High School band and choir. She also took part in musicals in college. Bonnie loved teaching, especially Middle School. Bonnie loved the outdoors spending many afternoons at Devil's Lake working on her Bible Studies. She loved her cats and family and was especially proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her three children, Kim (Mickey) Morgan and their children, Sean, Erin, Kevin (Kayla), and Cory (Olivia); Kelly and Scott; two grandchildren, Holly and Phinehas; her brother, Mike (Judy) Dupuis; and the father of her children, Paul Onesti. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother in-law, Joni (David) Boville.
A Memorial Service will be held for Bonnie at Graceway Church, 65 13th St., Prairie du Sac on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 5pm. A visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm prior to the service at the church with a light meal to follow.
Bonnie's family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the nurses, doctors and health care professionals at the U.W. Hospital Hematology Dept. and the Agrace Staff for their wonderful care, and to their family and friends for their prayers, meals and help. Thank you!
