Bonnie L Rolstad passed away on Thursday February 5, 2026 at UW Hospitals, Madison. She was born on May 5, 1941, in Baraboo to Roy (Gus) and Doris Curtis. Bonnie grew up in Prairie du Sac and graduated in 1959 from Prairie du Sac High School. She spent most of her life in the Sauk Prairie area.
Bonnie met the love of her life Don (Butch) during a dance at Devils Lake. Butch and Bonnie were united in marriage on June 24, 1961.
She is survived by Butch, their three children, Rene' (Paul) Miller, Julie (Paul) Bohler, Brad (Cynthia) Rolstad; grandchildren, Darin (Kristina) Ripp, Lindsey (John Meinholtz) Ripp, Curtis (Kayla) Bohler, Katie Bohler, Jessica (Josh) Soper and Melissa Rolstad; step grandchildren; Alex (Ali) Miller, Kasey (Kelli) Miller, Ryan (Jen) McMillen, Kurt (Renata) McMillen, Kyle (Chelsea) McMillen; 15 great grandchildren; sister in law, Nancy Bunbury and 5 nieces and nephews.
In High School, Bonnie was a lifeguard at the local outdoor pool and was crowned the Queen of the Carnival in 1958. During her working years she worked at the local telephone company and then later was the bookkeeper for her and Butch's welding company, CUROL Corp. She also was an owner of Badger Swimpools in which she held the title of 'Director of First Impressions'. During her spare time, she was the bookkeeper many of the activities her and Butch participated in.
Bonnie loved the outdoors and in the early years, she enjoyed snowmobiling and participated in racing events. She played on a local women's fastpitch team as well as bowled for many years. She was Top Gun at the Roxbury Trap club and won many medals at the Badger State Games. Bonnie also loved fishing and NASACR and created many memories with family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Bonnie is preceded in death by her in laws, Jim and Alice Rolstad, sister, Mary Nolden, brothers in laws, Donald Nolden and Blaine Bunbury, and grandson Clayton Bohler.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Dorf Haus, 8931 County Y, Roxbury Wisconsin on Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 4 – 7.
