IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Brian
Patterson
February 13, 1972 – May 11, 2025
Brian Patterson left this earth on May 11, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at HCA Florida Blake Hospital in Bradenton, Florida.
Born on February 13, 1972, in Hillsboro, Wisconsin, Brian was the youngest son of Melvin Patterson and Carol (Jensen) Hehenberger. He grew up mostly in central Wisconsin, and spent his professional life living in Wisconsin, Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida. An entrepreneur, his work included various businesses, but he dedicated most of his work to environmental compliance and regulation businesses in which he devoted over 25 years of his life in various executive roles.
A loving father to three daughters, Brian was a steadfast pillar of strength and support for his family. He was a dedicated father—always present with guidance, love, and laughter.
Brian cherished family gatherings, especially during holidays and celebrations, where his presence brought warmth and joy to everyone around him. He and his family shared a love for exploring restaurants around the world, always prioritizing the comfort of each other's company over a good meal or dessert.
He had many passions in life, including an enduring love for football. A proud alumnus of Schofield DC Everest High School and the University of Wisconsin, he graduated in 1994 with a degree in Political Science and was a proud member of Coach Barry Alvarez's inaugural recruiting class for the university's football team. One of his most cherished memories was being part of the winning 1994 Rose Bowl team. He also cheered for the Georgia Bulldogs, Colorado Buffaloes, and Tennessee Volunteers, often enjoying games with his children at their respective universities.
Known for his ability to befriend anyone and his infectious sense of humor, Brian had a remarkable gift for making people feel at ease and bringing light to any room.
He is survived by his three beloved daughters, Melanie (24), Brianna (22), and Samantha (20), as well as his mother, Carol (Rod) Hehenberger. He is also survived by his siblings, Richard Patterson and Cindy (Todd) Dunst, his nieces Hannah and Hallie Dunst, and many dear friends who will miss him deeply. He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Patterson.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 22nd from 4-7 pm at Hooverson Funeral home in Sauk City, WI. and at the church on Friday from 9:30 am until the time of the service. A funeral service to celebrate Brian's life will be held on May 23, 2025, at 10:15 am at First United Church of Christ, located at 504 Washington Ave, Sauk City, Wisconsin 53583. A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 2-6 PM, at Skydeck on Broadway, located at 5055 Broadway, Nashville, TN 37203. Friends and family are invited to attend and pay their respects.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in memory of Brian to the Brian J Patterson Foundation Trust for CNS Vasculitis Research, ℅ Melanie Patterson, 5317 Williamsburg Rd, Brentwood, TN 37027.
Rest in peace, dear father. Your memory will live on forever.
