Buel J. Cooke, passed away at the age of 92 on April 16, 2022. He was born in Mazomanie, WI on October 22, 1929, to the late John and Hazelle (Coldwell) Cooke. He graduated from Lodi High School, class of 1947. Buel served in the Air Force and received an honorable discharge. On September 1, 1956, he was united in marriage to the former Evelyn Buckley at the Grandview Methodist Church in Dubuque, IA.

Throughout his career as a carpenter, he worked for Bachmann Construction and J. H. Findorff & Sons, Inc. He worked at various locations in Madison including the State Capitol, UW-Madison buildings, and many State office buildings. Buel was a lifetime member of the Carpenter's Union #314, over a 50-year member of the American Legion Post #216, and over a 50-year member with Master Mason of Lodi Valley Lodge #99.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; three children, Monte, Brian, and Michelle (Mike Lucey); three sisters, Donna Vogts, De Forest, WI; Carol Marshall, Altoona, WI; Diana Cooke, Mazomanie, WI, and various other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Darrell and Stanley and a sister Marilyn Havlik.

Private services were held.
