Carol was born in Prairie du Sac, WI on May 6, 1918. She passed away on Friday April 30, 2010 at Walnut Grove Memory Care, Baraboo, WI. She graduated from Hillside Grade School, Prairie du Sac High School, and Sauk County Normal Teacher's College, Reedsburg. Carol taught for two years and then attended University of Wisconsin, Madison, with a degree in accounting. She moved to the Detroit area at the start of World War II. She later was employed as an accountant for many businesses in the Detroit area. The longest employment was at Buckingham Tools. She moved back to Wisconsin in 2007, living at Bluffview Meadows, North Freedom and Walnut Grove, Baraboo, WI. She loved to travel and play cards.
She is survived by her sister Ramona Ochsner, Sauk City, WI; nephews Robert Ochsner (Donna) Plain, WI and Douglas Ochsner; and niece Allison Ochsner. Other survivors include cousins Mildred Steckelberg, Prairie du Sac, Lorrayne Mathews, Texas, Bernetta Mather, Columbus, WI; and special friends Roger and Shirley Bartlett, Redford, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents Edwin and Lona (Riches) Moely. The family will have a private burial. The family requests no memorials.
