Carol M. Janney, of Sauk City, passed away at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie.  She was born in Prairie du Sac, WI in 1932, the daughter of Miles Meng and Pearl (Danuser) Meng.  She graduated from Prairie du Sac High School and went on to obtain a BS in Nursing.

She married Gordon Janney in September 1963; he preceded her in death in 2014.  Carol spent most of her nursing career as a school nurse at Sauk Prairie School District.  After retirement, Gordon and Carol spent many winters in Texas and summers in Alaska in their motorhome.  Carol enjoyed talking, spending time with her family, reading and attending Concordia United Methodist, where she was a life long member.

Carol is survived by son, Michael Janney, daughter, Mary Jo (Duane) Davis, sister, Mary Wickman, brother, Rick (Mary) Meng, brother, Denny (Karen) Meng and nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday, October 16,2023 at Concordia United Methodist Church, Prairie du Sac.  Prior to the service, visitation will be held 9-11 am at the church.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local public library.
