Carrie Jo Pete, age 37, died unexpectedly on Monday, October 8, 2012. She was born in Prairie du Sac on March 8, 1975, the daughter of Dennis and Frances (Ryman) Pete. Carrie attended Sauk Prairie Schools and graduated from Sauk Prairie High School in 1993. She was employed by Mendota Mental Health Institute in Madison. Carrie had a beautiful smile, which she shared with all who loved her.


She is survived by her parents, Dennis and Frances of Sauk Prairie; 2 brothers, Greg Pete and Ryan Pete, both of Madison; a sister, Renee Wilson of Sauk Prairie; paternal grandmother, Betty Hanson of Sauk City; aunts, Veda Hughart of Sauk City, Marjorie Ryman of Sauk City; LaVerna (Bob Hanson) Hooker of Hixton; Linda (Dan Eveland) Coffey of Arena; Melody (Kurt) Berg of Madison; and Lissa (Todd) Pete-Shaw of Fond du Lac; uncles, Buford (Chris) Ryman of Baraboo, Bill (Karen) Ryman of Stitzer, LaVerne (Linda) Ryman of Wonewoc, and Sam (Tammi) Pete of Holmen; many cousins and friends.


She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bud Pete, and Oscar and Pansy Ryman.

A funeral service will be held at CALVARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 309 Water St., Sauk City, at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2012, with Pastor Dan Lindsey officiating. Visitation will be held at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, 251 Water St., Sauk City, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 12, 2012, and also at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be held at a later date at the Sauk City Cemetery.


In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
