Catherine C. Ballweg, age 92, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at Pine Villa, Prairie du Sac. She was born on May 25, 1918 to Peter and Margaret Nolden. Catherine was united in marriage to Mellitus Ballweg on October 26, 1937 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Sauk City. They farmed in Roxbury for 25 years and moved to Prairie du Sac in 1977. Catherine enjoyed baking ,bowling, flowers and gardening. She was proud to have volunteered at Maplewood for many years .

She is survived by her children , Dolores (Clifford) Haas, Virginia (Bill) Helt , Armella Kalscheur, Mary (Lloyd) Meinholz, Merle (Connie) Ballweg, Audrey (John) Pechan, Virgil (Ruth )Ballweg , and Lucy (Tim) Seiler.
A daughter in law, Vicki Ballweg,
37 Grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces , nephews, other relatives and friends.
Special friends, Judy and Gary Hooks and her faithful canine friend, Shelby.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, Leo , a son in law, Reggie Kalscheur and a great grand daughter, Korissa Marty, sisters Helen Schreiber,Sarah Reuter, Nora Ruhland and a brother Henry Nolden.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Sauk City, with father Jared Hood officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday September 24, 2010 at Hooverson Funeral Home, Sauk City, and also from 12:30 until 1:15 p.m. at the funeral home on Saturday.
