Catherine Dorothy Gasper of Sun City, AZ, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2008. She was born on November 26, 1916 to John and Sofena (Alwin) Huber in Honey Creek Township, Sauk County. She graduated from Fernside Grade School and Prairie du Sac High School. In 1937 she was united in marriage to Nicholas Gasper. He passed away in 1980. Catherine lived in the Sauk City and Prairie du Sac area for 70 years and was employed by Nedrobo's Formal Wear in Madison for thirty years. She was a member of St. Aloysius Parish and the Catholic Daughters. In 1985, Catherine moved to Sun City, where she met and married Harry Prokopow in 1990. He passed away in 1995. She is survived by two sons, Robert (Elaine Bauer) Gasper of Lone Rock and John (Betty) Gasper of Glendale, AZ; a brother, Lawrence (Lola) Huber of North Freedom, three grandchildren, Jeffrey (Beth) Gasper of Reedsburg, Mark Gasper of Gotham and Sherill (Joel) Haverland of Potosi; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Bannon Wolf and Gertrude Crowell Franke; and a great-grandchild, David Davis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2008 at ST. ALOYSIUS CATHOLIC CHURCH, Sauk City, with Father Jared Hood officiating. Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to Mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sun City Meals-On-Wheels, 13000 North 103rd Ave., Sun City, AZ 85351.
