Catherine R. Neumaier, age 90, died Wednesday April 2, 2008, at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie. She was born in Springfield Township on Nov. 25, 1917, the daughter of the late John B. and Margaret (Vosen) Schroeder. She was united in marriage to Francis H. Neumaier on Sept. 3, 1942, at St. Martins Catholic Church, Martinsville. He preceded her in death on April 24, 2002. Catherine enjoyed fishing, card playing, cooking, canning and all the pleasures of being a homemaker. Catherine was happiest when she was caring for others. She was active in church activities and was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and the Council of Catholic Women. She is survived by two daughters, Marie (Steven) Lund of Muskego and Ann Neumaier of Sauk City; a son, Joe (Ron Anderson) Neumaier of Monona; two granddaughters, Ashleigh and Kristen Lund; sisters-in-law, Angie (Elmer) Fisk of Poynette, Helen Neumaier of Roxbury and Pat Neumaier of Sauk City; and further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Loretta Koch; and two brothers, Tony and Vincent Schroeder. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 7, 2008, at noon at ST. ALOYSIUS CATHOLIC CHURCH, Sauk City
with Father Miguel Galvez officiating. Burial will be in St. Martins Cemetery, Martinsville. Friends may call on Sunday, April 6, 2008, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City. A rosary will be held at 1:45 p.m. led by the St. Aloysius Council of Catholic Women. The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. John Koch and the staff at Maplewood Village and Maplewood Nursing Home.
