Cherie Lee Johnson, age 40, passed away peacefully at her sister's home, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, December 3, 2008. She was born in Prairie du Sac on March 26, 1968, the daughter of Emil "Mike" and Norma ( Buchanan) Wenger of Wild Rose, WI. Cherie married her high school sweetheart, Christopher Johnson, on February 9, 1991. They made their home in Prairie du Sac. Cherie's life was built on faith. She lived for God and her family. She was blessed to have so many friends she considered to be her family. During the last few weeks of her life, many friends and family members surrounded her with love and support. Cherie will always be remembered for her giving heart. She is survived by her devoted husband, Christopher and their five beautiful children, Katie 14, Emily 12, Justin 9, Christina 7, and Natilee 4; her parents, Emil "Mike" and Norma Wenger of Wild Rose; two sisters, Judy (Ken) Denu of Mazomanie and Tammy (Robert) Alme of Lodi; two brothers, Mike (Terri) Wenger of DeForest/Sauk City and Ron (Patti) Wenger of Lodi; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lawrence and Karen Johnson of Lodi; sister-in-law; sister-in-law, Amanda Johnson of Lodi, brother-in-law, Kevin (Jean) Johnson of Stoughton; nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly; other relatives and many friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. ALOYSIUS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 115 Madison St., Sauk City, at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2008 with Father Jared Hood officiating. Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Friends may call at ST. JOHNS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 100 Oak St., Prairie du Sac, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 5, 2008.
