Cherie L. (Krinkey-McFarland) Vinney, age 76, passed away peacefully at her home in Sauk City on Tuesday, March 10, 2009. She was born August 13, 1932 in Madison to the late Raymond and Harriet "Ruth" (Chartier) Krinkey. Cherie's parents divorced, and her mother married John McFarland. She married Eldon J. Vinney on September 5, 1950 and lived in McFarland and Madison until moving to Freeport in the early 1960's. Cherie worked at Erickson Dental Laboratory for 20 years and then later at Micro Switch for 16 years until she retired in August 1994. She moved to Sauk City in 2001. She is survived by her children, Phyllis (Terry) Matz, Theresa Larsen, Pam (Jim) Young, Leana Vinney, Eldon (Roxanne) Vinney and Mark (Corrine) Vinney; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 2 infant brothers and 1 infant grandson. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 13, 2009 at 7pm at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City with Dennis Weis officiating. Friends may call from 5pm until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Underhill Cemetery in Packwaukee. Memorials may be given to Home Health Hospice.
