Christine Mech, age 84, passed away peacefully at home in Merrimac on Sunday, September 5, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Poland on July 5, 1937 to the late Janina and Stefan Melon. She was united in marriage to the late Richard E, Mech in 1958. They shared two sons, George and Robert Mech.

Christine was a key puncher at A.O. Smith for 25 years. She enjoyed playing cards, doing crossword puzzles, watching the game show network and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son, Robert Mech of Merrimac; Granddaughter's, Casey Mech, Christine Mech, Roxanne (Scott) Zamba, Amanda Mech, Grandson, Justin (Alexzandra) Mech; Great Grandchildren, Wyatt, LeLand, Emmett, Caarson, Paxton, Navie, Griffin; extended family, Josephine (John), Henry (Alfreda), and Theresa (David), along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, and husband, she is preceded in death by her son, George Mech, sister, Paula, and brother in law, Joe.
