Chris Gene Schwichtenberg, age 39, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Feb 10, 2015 at his home in rural Mazomanie. He was born in Madison on July 31, 1975 to Carl G. and Joyce (Markin) Schwichtenberg.
Chris graduated from Madison East High School in 1994. He married Kelly (Bollig) Kleinfeldt on September 23, 2000. She preceded him in death on Dec. 9, 2004. Chris was previously the manager of the Arbys at East Town, and since 2002 he has been the property manager at the Rio Valley Estates in Mazomanie. He enjoyed working in his shop, home improvement projects, hunting and fishing. He was most proud of his sons and family.
Chris is survived by his fiancé, Mary Brady; 2 sons, Connor and Colton; Kelly's 3 children, Matthew, McKenzie and Brianna Kleinfeldt; Mary's children, Amanda and Buddy Brady; his mother, Joyce Zimdars; 2 sisters, Julie (Steve) Bird and Paula (Brian Storey) Schwichtenberg; maternal grandmother, Ellen Jorgenson; 2 nieces, Tabatha Bird and Faith Storey; nephew, Dakota Storey; other relatives and many friends.
In addition to his wife Kelly, he was preceded in death by his father, Carl G. Schwichtenberg; his paternal grandparents, Francis and Eva Schwichtenberg; maternal grandfather, Roscoe Markin Sr.; and a daughter, Ariyl Brady.
A funeral service will be held at the RIVER ARTS CENTER at Sauk Prairie High School, 105 9th St., Prairie du Sac, at 6:00 pm on Thursday, February 19, 2015. A visitation will be held at the River Arts Center from 3:30 pm until time of service. A private burial will be held. As per Chris's family, casual attire is encouraged.

Chris was a beloved son, father, brother, significant other and will be missed.
