Claudia Fiorella Rios Mendoza, age 39, went to be with her Lord in heaven on Saturday, November 9th, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on August 20, 1985, in Lima, Peru, the daughter of Mary Alvina Mendoza Benavente de Rios, and Pedro Flavio Rios Huapaya.

She studied organizational psychology, English, and other subjects at Escuela de Administracion de Negocios para Graduados (ESAN) in Lima, Peru.

On 12/07/2011, she moved from Peru to Wisconsin Dells, WI. She worked very hard to provide for her children and parents. She was blessed with two children, Orie and Aiden; and they were the love of her life. She was so proud of her children, and many times when she saw them, she would greet them with big hugs, and say, "My Babies!"

Claudia is survived by her two children, Orie V. Hernandez Rios, and her son, Aiden A. Kobs, Sauk City, WI; her parents, mother, Mary A. Mendoza Benavente de Rios, and her father, Pedro Flavio Rios Huapaya, Lima, Peru; her brother, Pedro Jesus Rios Mendoza, Lima Peru, and her husband, Chad W. Kobs, Adams, WI. Claudia was so thankful her parents could alternate coming to America every 5 months to help take care of her children while working.

Claudia had many friends in Wisconsin Dells. Her best friends from there were "Patilu", Patricia Garcia; Ingrid Flores; and Edith and Rosa Saldivar, who were always there to support her.

She touched many lives wherever she worked, especially as a Translator at the Good Neighbor Clinic, and Administrative Assistant at Graceway Church.  With her beautiful smile; always being friendly, positive and sociable to others; and expressing such kind, caring and thoughtful words, she will never be forgotten.

She was especially grateful to all the volunteers who helped her meet her family needs, such as providing food, and transporting her children to and from High Point Christian School in Madison when she could no longer do so during her illness. Her heartfelt appreciation was also expressed to the High Point Christian School in enabling her children to continue attending there. It always was her utmost desire for her children to graduate from this school.  She strived so hard with selfless and strong determination to provide for her children she so dearly loved!

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, at Graceway Church, 65 Thirteenth St., Prairie du Sac, WI, 53578 officiated by Pastors Bryan Brotherton, and Scott Larson. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the 11:00 a.m. service. The service will include a Spanish translator.

Claudia's parents would like to extend a special thanks to the UW Hospital and staff for the professional and compassionate care they gave to Claudia. They and Orie and Aiden also want to express their sincere gratitude to this country and the Sauk Prairie community for the kindness and generosity given to their daughter, mother, and themselves.

In lieu of flowers, a GoFundMe has been established by Graceway Church to cover end-of-live and funeral costs. Any balance remaining will be a gift to the parents for return trips to visit their grandchildren.
