Clifford G. Kohlman, age 84, of rural Prairie du Sac, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2011, after a long illness. He was born on August 9, 1926, in the Township of West Point, the son of the late Harry and Rose (Marx) Kohlman. Farming was in Cliff's blood. From cows and pigs to geese, ducks, and chickens, Cliff loved animals, especially his dogs.
He was united in marriage to Genevieve C. Huber on April 14, 1948. They farmed in West Point Township on the Kohlman family farm for all of their married life. He also drove school bus for 34 years, positively impacting the lives of generations of children.
He dearly loved his family. Cliff is survived by his sisters, Jane and Margaret; four children, Vicki (Dale) Gullickson, Jean (Gordy) Acker, Steve (Theresa) Kohlman, and Joseph (Tina) Kohlman; 8 surviving grandchildren, Jeff and Jon Acker; Kara Gullickson; Christine, Nicole, Amanda, John, and Kayla Kohlman; 3 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Hard-working, good-natured, and fun-loving, he loved travelling in later life with his special friend Betty Boehmer. There was no one who met him that didn't love him.
Cliff is preceded in death by his parents, wife Genny, and grandson, Alex Gullickson.
Visitation will be on Thursday, July 14, 2011, from 9-10:45 a.m. at Hooverson Funeral Home, Sauk City. Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Aloysius Church, Sauk City, with burial in the church cemetery.
