Clifford LeRoy Pearson, age 87, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at the Golden Living Center in Wisconsin Dells. He was born in Lancaster, Minnesota on April 9, 1926 to the late August and Florence (Bushie) Pearson. Cilff was proud to have served in the United States Army in Berlin, Germany during WWII. He married Darlene G. Stamer on March, 26, 1955 in Downers Grove, Illinois. Cliff owned and operated Pearson Excavating Company for 25 years in Downers Grove. He enjoyed hunting, was a member of the NRA, Downers Grove Elks Club, VFW and American Legion, and the Moose Club.
Cliff was never more happy than when he was fishing, and was very fortunate to spend 25 years wintering in the Florida Keys.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene; granddaughter, Alyssa (Christopher) Strebel of Elburn , Ill; son in-law, John (Mitz) Schueman of Merrimac; 2 sisters, Violet Sikorski of Greenbush, MN, and Donna (Harold) Haynes of Anchorage, AK; sister in-law, Leslynn Stamer of Lodi, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Sharon Bevans and Lenore Schueman; and two brothers, Lloyd and Floyd Pearson.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 11:00 am at the HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, 251 Water St., Sauk City with Pastor Cynthia McKenzie officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:30 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Merrimac.
