Colleen Ann Helgeson, age 66, went home to be with the Lord after a brave 14 month battle with cancer at Agrace Hospice Care. She was born in Madison on November 22, 1954 to Robert and Beverly (Stick) Albertus.

Colleen enjoyed the outdoors, crafting, traveling with her husband and just having fun. Most of all she got to enjoy being a grandma. She worked as a barber and was a bus driver for Verona schools. Colleen was employed by UW Health for over 20 years as a CMA.

She is survived by her husband Richard Helgeson, of Prairie du Sac; brother, Mark (Joan) Albertus of Ontario, CA; sister, Carol (John) Williams of Madison; son, Cameron (Amanda) Tetzlaff of Sun Prairie;
daughter, Cortney (Pedro) Pena of Stoughton; niece, Stephanie (Jim) McGuire; nephew, Eric (Brittany) Albertus and a grandson, Pedro Pena V.
