Obituary

Collin Kemnitz, 30, passed away February 28, 2023. He was born on January 15, 1993, in Prairie du Sac to Colleen (Breunig) Kemnitz-Anderson and LeRoy Kemnitz, Jr. Collin attended Sauk Prairie High School.

Collin had an undeniable love for sports throughout his life. He played basketball, baseball, and football. He was very competitive and excelled, especially in basketball. Collin had many friends over the years. He spent most of his younger years with his lifelong best friend, Derek Sullivan.

Family was very important to Collin throughout his entire life. Collin loved being daddy to two children, Mia and Bentley, who he loved more than anything in life. Collin had a very special relationship with his Grandma Nita and Grandpa Gary.

Collin was shy as a little boy. His big brother, Tyler, always made sure everyone knew who his brother was. Tyler and Collin were best buds growing up. Together they spent hours watching Power Rangers, playing with cars, and watching videos while they had a picnic on the living room floor. When their little brother, Vaughn, was born, Tyler and Collin were determined to teach him to be just like them (and, to drive their mother crazy). The boys made sure their household was always lively, to say the least.

In 2013, Collin became a daddy for the first time to the light of his life, Mia Marie or "Matilda" as he liked to call her. Collin was so proud when his little buddy, Bentley came in 2020. Becoming a dad was one of Collin's proudest and happiest moments in his life.

As Collin got older, he enjoyed being outdoors. Collin enjoyed many weekends of bicycling with his Dad, long chats around a campfire, and working with his hands. He devoted many hours to fixing or repairing his newest motorcycle purchase or his car.

Collin is survived by his children, Mia Marie of Necedah; Bentley Joe of Madison; Mom and Step-Dad, Colleen Kemnitz-Anderson and Vance Anderson, of Lodi; his Dad, LeRoy Kemnitz, Jr., of Westfield; Brothers, Tyler (Felecia) Kemnitz of Columbus; and Vaughn Anderson of Madison; Niece, Melainah and Nephew, Korbin. Grandparents, Nita and Gary Young of Sauk City; Pat and LeRoy Kemnitz, Sr., of Westfield; and Joanne Curless of Portage; He is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his Grandpa Orlie Breunig in 2003 and Uncle, Cory Breunig in 2020.

Friends and Family are invited to attend a Celebration of Collin's Life Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Cedarberry Inn, 855 Phillips Blvd., Sauk City, WI, in the Cedar Crest Room from 12:00-3:00
