Craig Donald Pagel, age 52, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his family on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2023 after a valiant battle with cancer.  He was born Aug. 22, 1971 to Donald and Marva (Petzke) Pagel.  Craig graduated from Sauk Prairie High School; class of 1989.  Following high school, he worked the family farm with his parents.  He later went to work for Timco before buying the family farm.  Most recently he worked in receiving at Slumberland's distribution center.

Craig was united in marriage to Tina Stankus on July 16, 2004.  Together they enjoyed road trips, checking out the waterfalls in the U.P., and hiking.  Craig had a love of animals, the outdoors, and looked forward to hunting every fall.

Craig is suroved by his wife, Tina; sons, Tom and Graysen Pagel; step-son, Dakota (Sam) Stock and their 3 children, Resey, Emeri, and Tyson Craig; his parents, Donald and Marva Pagel; brother, Donald (Julie) Pagel Jr., mother in-law, Ruthann Gudenschwager.  He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded by his first wife, Doreen (Steinhorst) Pagel and his father in-law, Phil Gudenschwager.

As per Craig's wishes, a visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday, Nov. 10, 2023 at Hooverson Funeral Home, 251 Water St., Sauk City.
