Cyrilla Lydia Henn-Nawrocki, age 85, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital, surrounded by family. She was born at home in Roxbury on July 15, 1926, the daughter of the late John A. and Elizabeth (Miller) Breunig. She married Clarence Henn on January 10, 1946 at St. Norbert's Catholic Church in Roxbury. He preceded her in death on May 7, 1992. She later married Ed Nawrocki on January 8, 1994. He preceded her in death on October 11, 2003.
Cyrilla had a strong catholic faith and was involved in the parishes of St. Barnabas, St. Norbert's, St. Aloysius and St. Mary's, and was Altar Society President for many years at St. Barnabas and also taught Religious Education. She volunteered for many organizations, including 4H, Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital, Red Cross Blood Drive, Sauk City Library, St. Vincent-DePaul, and others. Cyrilla enjoyed spending time with family, playing cards, watching the Badgers, Brewers and Packers, and tending to her orchids. She was a loving mother to six children and proud foster mother.
She is survived by her children, Judy (Don) Bartnick of Lodi, Marlene (Jim) Bickford of Prairie du Sac, Ric (Rita) Henn of Mazomanie, Donna (Bob) Parrell of Belmont, Ted (Robin) Henn of Prairie du Sac, Teri (Bob) Schroeder of Mazomanie, Kari Knutson and Diana Lucchesi of Belmont, and Ed (Bonnie) Nawrocki Jr. and family; 19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; 3 sisters-in-law, Mary Breunig, Dale Breunig and Sally Henn; a brother-in-law, James (Barbara) Masak; other relatives and friends.
In addition to Clarence and Ed and her parents, she was preceded in death by 8 siblings, Augusta (Larry) Zins, Wilfred, Leo, Viola (Ed) Schroeder, Eugene (Bernie), Melvin (Rosie), Milo (Charlotte and Lenita), and Carina Masak; two brothers-in-law, Lawrence (Ella) Henn and Elmer Henn; and a grandchild, Josephine Hutter.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. ALOYSIUS CATHOLIC CHURCH, Sauk City, at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, November 28, 2011. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Friends may call at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City, from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 27, 2011 and also at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:15 a.m.
