Damon Michael Williams, age 44, of Sauk City, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2015. His vibrant spark and unbounding love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Damon loved and cherished his family and friends, who loved and cherished him in return. He felt at one with nature and was truly happy in the outdoors fishing, hiking, skiing and enjoying the rivers and lakes. Damon was very compassionate and caring in his 20 years as an RN. He spent the past 13 years working in the ICU at Meriter Hospital. He was quick with a joke, a smile or a goofy face to make everyone feel welcome. He also enjoyed deep conversations and showed his kindness to those he was with.
Damon will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Stacie (Gartland); his daughters Grace and Ella; his parents Gary and Mary (Sternberg) Williams; and his brother Jason (Hilary); along with countless other extended family, friends and coworkers.
Damon's family appreciates the outpouring of love that they have received. In lieu of flowers and other sympathy gifts, donations will be put into a fund for Grace and Ella's education at the Bank of Prairie du Sac, 555 Park Avenue, Prairie du Sac, WI 53578.
A celebration of Damon's life will be held on Tuesday, August 18, at First United Church of Christ in Sauk City at 5:00 p.m. A visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
