Daniel "Danny" H. Frey, age 57, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Blackhawk on Sun. Feb. 25, 2018. He was born Feb. 13, 1961 at Sauk Prairie Hospital to Robert "Bob" and Beverly (Schara) Frey. Danny was a graduate of Sauk Prairie High School; class of 1979. He was united in marriage to Julie Deans on May 12, 1984. Danny enjoyed carrying on the family tradition of farming with his dad, brothers and sons. His passion was competing in the Badger State Tractor Pullers for many years with his brother Dennis and operating the Agent Orange Allis-Chalmers tractor. When not farming or tractor pulling, Danny could be found spending time with family, riding his Harley-Davidson Motorcycle, or having a few drinks with his friends at Fair Valley. He was a member of the Badger State Tractor Pullers, Sauk Prairie FFA Alumni, and the Honey Creek Snowmobile Club.

Danny is survived by his 4 children, Leeann Frey (fiancé Trevor Prochaska) of Barneveld, Mitchell Frey, Ben Frey (Lindsey Lehman), both of Prairie du Sac, and Carli Frey of Sauk City; the mother of his children, Julie Frey; his mom, Beverly; siblings, Cherie (Mike) Kruchten, Lynda (Rich) Brereton, Diana (Lance) Mefford, Dennis (Jenny) Frey, and Dale Frey (Melanie Alt). He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Bob on Feb. 10, 2010.

A memorial service will be held at 4:30 pm on Friday, Mar. 2, 2018 at First United Church of Christ, 504 Washington St., Sauk City. A visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until the time of service at the church. A celebration of Danny's life will follow at Pape's Fair Valley.

In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established in Danny's name.
