Darryl G. Wieneke Sr. age 79 passed away 8/25/2025 at St. Mary's Hospital. Madison. He was born in Madison on November 28, 1945, the son of the late Gordon Wieneke and Faye (White) Pete. Darryl attended Sauk City schools and graduated from Mazomanie High School in 1963. He was united in marriage to Zatell Petersen on August 23, 1974, in Sauk City, WI celebrating 51 years together.

Darryl was employed by InterCon Construction and retired from Findorff Construction after many years as an Operating Engineer. He enjoyed traveling, camping, watching the Packers Brewers and Bucks and loved NASCAR, motorcycles and fast cars.

He is survived by his wife, Zatell; 5 children, Darryl Jr. (Lisa) Wieneke, Joseph (Holly) Wieneke, Jodi Wieneke, Matt Wieneke and Lori Ann (Dennis) Wagner Anzaldi;

8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, his siblings, Bette Jo Uselman, Stanley "Skeeter" (Deb) Pete, Jamie Pete and Luann (Michael) Langowski; nieces, nephews, friends and a special fur baby Gus.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Hooverson Funeral Home, 251 Water St., Sauk City, WI.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Hooverson Funeral Home, 251 Water St., Sauk City, WI
