Daryl "Tom" T. Griffin

Daryl T. “Tom” Griffin, age 77, of Baraboo passed away at St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo on Friday, Apr. 3, 2026. He was born in Madison on May 10, 1948 to the late Roger and Rosemary (Murphy) Griffin. He graduated from River Valley High School; class of 1966.

Tom loved the outdoors; deer hunting, trapping, and coon hunting with the dogs. In his younger years he was a member of the Mad City Ski team, serving as a boat captain. He had a love of the water; and was an avid water skier and loved to go boating in the summer with his friends. His love of the water took him to Oregon and Florida where he lived near or on the water and could often be found on the beach. Tom eventually moved back to Wisconsin to be closer to his family. Always having the ability to strike up a conversation or spread some B.S; he was a natural at sales and worked for Blue Green Properties and Christmas Mountain. Tom settled close to the Wisconsin Dells and Baraboo retiring after a 20 year career in property sales. He always enjoyed sports; was an avid golfer, enjoyed playing cards and cheering on the Badgers and Packers.

Tom is survived by his son, Don (Tricia) and their children, Devin and Kylee; stepson, John Huseby; his siblings, Susan Duhr, John (Darlene) Griffin, Wendy (Bryant) Schaefer, and Jean (Jr. Mueller) Griffin. Tom is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Randine Graves; and former wife, and mother to his son, Kathleen Griffin (Post).

Tom’s family will privately celebrate his life.

Tom’s family would like to extend their appreciation to their friends and family who were able to lend Tom a hand when he needed it, especially his good friend, Jon Regel; and to the caregivers at Starlight Assisted Living-thank you.
