David H. Crisman, 66 of Baraboo, passed away at home on Friday, November 11, 2011, from kidney cancer. David was the son of Herbert and Margaret Crisman of Harvey, IL, where he was raised before moving to Wisconsin in the 60's, where he was employed by Senco. Later David worked for Almet and Rio Brands, designing outside furniture. He traveled extensively with his work, which allowed him to see other countries and cultures. David retired two years ago and has enjoyed being home. He followed his love of flying, hunting, fishing and enjoyed his new fishing partners. Though the fish were not always kind, he enjoyed the pursuit.
David is survived by his wife, Louise Crisman; sister, Peggy (Roger) Peterson of Michigan; sister-in-law, Jane Crisman of Colorado; nephews Brad and Scott Peterson; and many other family and friends. David was preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Margaret Crisman, and his brother, Timothy Crisman.
Per David's wishes, a memorial service will be held at the Farm Kitchen, in Baraboo, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2011, with a lunch to follow. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund, in David's name, is being established for "Friends of Devil's Lake State Park".
