David J. Hollub

David J Hollub, age 71, passed away June 7th, 2026 peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends. He was born August 17th, 1954 in Waukesha, Wi, Son of late Kenneth and Earline (Geffers) Hollub. Dave was married to Trudy Hollub with whom he had son Eric.

Dave was a dedicated husband and father and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, photography, being outdoors and pheasant hunting with his 3 beloved Labrador retrievers. He also enjoyed competitive canine dock diving with his labs and riding motorcycles.

He is Survived by his son Eric and fiancee Rhiannon, his sisters Darcy, Debbie (Jim) surges, Dana (Bob) Vogg, and sister- in- law Diane (Greg) Hollub. Dave is preceded in death by his wife Trudy, brother Greg and his mother and father. He graduated from Waukesha south in 1972 and attended the UW Lacrosse. Dave was employed as a Waukesha County Sheriff's Deputy and retired in 2007.

A Celebration of life will be held for Dave on Sunday August 16th (1200 to 4PM) at Wern Valley (S36W29657 Wern Way, Waukesha, WI 53189). Anyone who wishes to attend and celebrate his life is welcome. Please come dressed comfortably as Dave would have wanted. Dave will be remembered for his generosity and love of dogs. 

In lieu of flowers Dave's family asks that a donation be made to a local animal shelter to help the animals in our communities.
