Lamberty
August 29, 1960 – March 22, 2023
David J. Lamberty, age 62, of Sauk City, WI, died on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo, WI, after a courageous battle with cancer. David was surrounded by all of his brothers and sisters and their spouses and several nieces and nephews when he passed away. David was born at Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital in Prairie du Sac, WI, on August 29, 1960, the son of the late Roman and Judy (Nelson) Lamberty.
David attended St Aloysius Elementary School and graduated from Sauk Prairie High School in 1979. After high school David attended Madison Area Technical College earning a degree in the Machine Tool trade. After graduation, David had a 40+ year career at Placon (Madison, WI) as a Senior Tooling Technician. David was a long-time resident of Sauk City and a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church.
In his free time, David enjoyed amateur gunsmithing, target shooting, off-roading with his Jeep, and rebuilding Honda trail motorcycles. He was a skilled mechanic whose expertise and willingness to always lend a hand was valued by his family. David also enjoyed fishing in Northern Wisconsin, as well as spending time at family events.
David is survived by two daughters, Jessica, of Madison, WI, and Kaitlin, of Mitchell, Nebraska. He loved them very much and took pleasure in spending as much time as possible with them. Other survivors include David's seven loving siblings: Bruce (Tami) Lamberty, Joe (Rose) Lamberty, Joanne (Dean) Dischler, Mark (Cristeen) Lamberty, Pat (Julie) Lamberty, Karen (Jim) Breunig, and Scott (Rebecca) Lamberty. David also had 19 nieces and nephews that he loved, and he delighted in watching them grow up.
David was a true gentle soul with a loving heart. He will be missed dearly by his family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Sauk City, WI, at 11:00am on Friday, April 14, 2023, with Father James Kotch officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Camp Wawbeek-Easter Seals Wisconsin (Wisconsin Dells camp and respite services).
Friends may call from 9:30am until 10:45am on Friday, April 14, 2023, at Hooverson Funeral Home, Sauk City, WI.
